Blankets of Love

For a number of years the Iowa Juvenile Home Foundation donated money for my to buy yarn for women at Iowa Correctional institution for Women. The women who were incarcerated worked together to make blankets for every girl at the Iowa Juvenile Home and to write them a “Love letter” filled with uplifting messages and hope. The girls often got their blankets around Valentine’s day. In return the girls wrote the women in prison cards which they received on Mother’s Day.
